Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. Her career began with supporting roles in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). Later, she played reporter Willa McPherson on the FX series Dirt and also played a minor role in the short-lived drama The Ex List. In the initial season, she played the role of Moira O'Hara, a young Moira and, in the second season, she was Kaylee. She played Jessie Anderson's character in AMC's The Walking Dead. Sophie played the role of Sophie in The NBC show This Is Us. She also voices of several characters from the comedy show Family Guy. Since 2019, she has starred as Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien in Connecticut. She moved to California with her mother when she was of 10. They traveled for one year before they settled in Mill Valley. Breckenridge became fascinated by photography, acting, and singing at age 13. When she was 15 she moved with her mother back to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.
