Born and raised in Pennsylvania Molly started her professional career in the age of thirteen, at Philadelphia the Prince Music Theater in a production of The Snow Queen. After that, Molly played Little Red Ridinghood for the Arden Theater s Into the Woods and was nominated for a Barrymore Award. Following her Broadway debut aged 15 she reprised the role and won an award from the Drama League Award. Molly has also appeared as a character in The Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof in 2004. Following her graduation of Princeton University, where she was awarded a B.A. in Religion. She also became a Triangle Club member, Molly went on to attend Princeton University. It was during this time that she made her film debut in the Disney film College Road Trip in the role of Wendy Greenhut. In college, Molly was the first actress to make her debut on stage as a character in Disney College Road Trip playing Wendy Greenhut. Molly began her career after having completed her Off-Broadway stage debuts, including End Days and The Wonderful Maladys on HBO Pilot. Molly has appeared in a variety of regional shows, such as The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee performed by Barrington Stage Company in 2008 and the North Shore Music Theater's The Diary of Anne Frank in 2010. The Diary of Anne Frank at Westport Country Playhouse in which Molly played Anne. Molly's best-known performance is that of Paranormal Activity 2 (2010), in which she portrays Ali her teenage daughter. Molly also appeared in Last Man Standing (an ABC comedy written and directed by Tim Allen) and Jack Burditt's 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, which was held in 2008.
